An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport/Logistics/ operations planner to join a thinking-growing supplies company based at Manchester at Trafford Park. The role will be to Look after the overall operational activity of the business, which will include the following:
* To monitor incoming emails/works orders, identify and action these
* To process new jobs/works orders liaising with engineers/drivers
* Route scheduling drivers/engineers
* Booking installs/repairs
* Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays
* Provide the communication link between customers and drivers
* Monitoring customer requests, allocating jobs and issuing instructions
* Allocating jobs to driver’s tablets
* Tracking delivery routes
* Allocating jobs to driver’s tablets
* Tracker monitoring with Ops Managers
* Keeping up to date with transport issues and dealing with changes to the day’s schedules
Requirements:
* Transport route planning skills
* Excellent geographical knowledge
* Strong communication skills
* Strong administration experience
* Good communication and people skills.
* IT literacy in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook or other email platforms.
