About the Role:
Our client, a leading company in the modular construction industry, is seeking a skilled and innovative Design Coordinator/Manager to join their team. This full-time, permanent position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with flexibility to work both from home and in the office or on-site.

Key Responsibilities:


Design and Development:


* Design modular building structures from concept or adapt existing designs to fit modular construction methodologies.

* Develop and provide detailed drawings for various project requirements, including: * Site Plans

* Layouts

* Sections

* Elevations

* Building Specifications

* Detail Drawings for Non-Standard Solutions


* Create innovative and practical design solutions that enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of modular buildings.

Collaboration and Coordination:


* Liaise with estimators, technical team, and sales leads to ensure accurate cost estimations and technical feasibility of designs.

* Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure designs align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

* Coordinate with the factory team to understand construction processes and integrate practical building methods into design solutions.

* Conduct regular design review meetings to refine and optimise designs based on feedback from internal teams and clients.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:


* Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and address any design-related issues that arise during construction.

* Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in modular construction techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes.

* Ensure all designs adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

* Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in design deliverables.

Leadership and Management:


* Lead and mentor the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

* Manage the design schedule, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of design documents.

* Facilitate continuous professional development for the design team, encouraging the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:


* Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback into final designs.

* Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure successful project outcomes.

* Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the design and construction process.


Requirements * Proven experience as a Design Coordinator/ Manager or similar role in the construction or modular building industry.

* Proficiency in Revit is essential.

* Proficiency in other design software such as AutoCAD.Strong understanding of modular construction techniques and principles.

* Excellent project management and organisational skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Car Driver with access to vehicle - Occasional travel may be required to meet with clients and stakeholders
