Looking to play your park in making dementia the issue of our time across England, Wales and Northern Ireland?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced regional media professional to join our award-winning and ambitious regional media team telling stories in the three nations Alzheimer’s Society covers.

The Regional Media Team is instrumental in communicating the impact and scale of dementia and raising the profile of Alzheimer’s Society’s crucial work in communities and nations to provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

You will help deliver some of the biggest moments in Alzheimer’s Society’s regional news calendar, working closely with large parts of the organisation, including our national, celebrity and social media colleagues, to inform, inspire and engage our audiences.

Through this role, you will help to: * Increase awareness and understanding of dementia
* Source and tell stories from the Alzheimer’s Society across regions and nations.
* Raise the profile of Alzheimer’s Society, our key messages and campaigns across England, Wales and Northern Ireland
* Publicise our research, influencing, brand and fundraising work
* Protect and enhance our reputation, including supporting senior spokespeople to deliver media interviews
About you

We are looking for a dynamic and creative senior PR/comms professional to help us get our voice heard in the regional media and create and deliver high-impact media campaigns.

An expert in regional media relations, you will play a key role in driving forward creative and impact-led ideas, finding new and interesting ways to tell our story to different audiences.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a high-profile, busy regional media office, with proven ability to proactively capitalise on nations’ and regions media opportunities, and develop and deliver campaigns that engage audiences and shape the public agenda.

You will have excellent regional media contacts, the ability to brief senior spokespeople and be an inspiring member of the team, leading by example.

You will be results-driven and tenacious when it comes to securing meaningful coverage in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that will help us improve the lives of people affected by dementia.
