We have an exciting new opportunity as a Data Analyst as part of the Reinsurance Finance team in our London-based offices.
The primary focus of the role will be to provide data analysis that enables compliance to all data policies & standards as well as the provision of data in order to support business and IT solutions and reporting requirements. This includes build, test and implementation. The role also requires engagement with Data & MI team members as well as business stakeholders to understand our data ecosystem and the QBE EO business.

Your new role

* Be aware of the Data & IT strategy to appropriately align effort with this direction.

* Positively promote the department and company, to maximize brand leverage and develop team profile.

* Participate in internal meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice.

* Contribute to developing awareness of Data & MI deliverables across the business in order to ensure the highest standards of compliance.

* Determine own work priorities and activities in line with team plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives.

* Build and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets business needs.

* Deliver data analysis to support business requirement definition and governance compliance.

* Maintain, monitor and update pertinent to your team, ensuring information is accurate and presents an accurate picture of activity.

* Support the design, development and implementation of fit-for-purpose data solutions for our customers.

* Undertake problem investigation, analysis and resolution to maintain and improve service to customers.

* Contribute to the on-going development of the services provided to ensure it continues to support and meet business needs.

About you

* Analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Business/Data analysis and requirements gathering skills.

* Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and Management Information (MI) reporting.

* Effective communication and stakeholder management.

* Excellent time-management.

* Working knowledge and understanding of: SQL and relational databases. Data warehouse reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, MS Reporting Services and Excel. MS Office applications, Word, PowerPoint etc.
