Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Assistant Accountant/Auditor to join our clients friendly team.
This role would ideally suit a part-qualified ACA or ACCA accountant, from a practice background.
Location: Hereford
Role Responsibilities (not limited to):
* Assisting the audit managers
* Completing audit testing at client’s premises
* Assisting with planning and completion of audits
* Attending stocktakes at client’s premises
* Preparation and review of statutory accounts
* Preparation of corporate tax computations
* Review of clients VAT returns
* Assisting clients with bookkeeping
Requirements for this role:
* The ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff at all levels
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Have experience of working in a practice environment
* Be self-motivated and proactive
* Have audit experience (would be a bonus), but not essential
The role will be varied, incorporating some audit work, alongside corporate accounts. There will be an opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients i.e. farming, manufacturing, construction and retail.
