We have partnered with a top 30 Accountancy practice who are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team in Chichester. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, from small sole traders to multi-million pound enterprises with a global presence.
As an Accounts Senior you will be the main contact for assigned clients, overseeing all their accounting compliance and service needs.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure timely completion of tasks related to client accounts, maintaining efficient team work flow.
* Prepare accounts for various entities including companies, partnerships, LLPs, and sole traders, along with tax returns and computations.
* Review VAT returns for accuracy and compliance.
* Monitor task progress and maintain communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Conduct research and address complex issues, escalating as needed.
* Administer client account files and organise file reviews.
* Assist in reviewing work of Accounts Assistants and support other team members as necessary.
* Prepare bills and monitor work in progress for managers and above when needed
Person specification:
* Working towards ACA/ACCA/AAT
* Ability to prioritise workload and adaptable.
* Someone who has an enquiring nature.
* Team player who can work independently when required.
