Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit an accountant for a highly successful, reputable and profitable business based in Manchester. With around 450 people across the business, they have enjoyed a sustained growth path in 2024 and are looking to add an Accountant to their already established finance team.
Within this role as an Accountant, you will be a key member of the finance team and will be responsible for a range of different clients ranging from SMEs to Blue Chip companies. This role would be perfect for a first-time mover from practice, a Part-Qualified individual who has experience of producing sets of accounts for clients or someone coming from a similar role where you have produced full end-to-end accounts.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
* Preparing and managing client accounts from start to finish
* Liaising with other departments to obtain necessary information to produce accounts
* Calculating accruals and prepayments
* Reconciling pension payroll, investments and contributions to accounting records
* Constructing cash analysis for admin reports
* Ad-hoc project work to implement a new accounting system
The ideal candidate will have:
* Studying towards a recognised professional qualification (either ACA or ACCA)
* The ability to communicate with a range of different stakeholders both internally and externally
* Experience of producing end-to-end accounts for a range of different clients
* Strong attention to detail (including numerical and verbal accuracy
