Job Title - Ecology Manager (Principal/Associate level)
Location - Remote/Southwest
Salary - Up to £55,000
A well-established, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is looking for an experienced Ecologist to join their team as an in-house Ecology Manager, working remotely and engaging with projects across the Southeast and London.
Working as an Ecology Manager for this environmental consultancy would entail working on a diverse range of projects linked to heritage initiatives on historic buildings, alongside opportunities in mixed-use, residential, commercial, and renewable energy sectors. The Ecology Manager be able to expand their portfolio in a collaborative environment.

This remote role requires occasional site visits and meetings, primarily focused on London and nearby regions. The consultancy has no physical office but holds quarterly meetings and social events in London to promote team collaboration.
The project management strategy for this role includes ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact evaluations, utilising the consultancy’s network and direct interactions. Responsibilities involve fieldwork on protected species and habitats, producing high-quality technical reports per CIEEM standards, and ensuring compliance with legislation. The role also emphasises client relationship building, tendering, business development, and marketing to enhance our presence in the ecological sector.
Ecology Manager Requirements:
* Extensive consultancy experience in the Ecology field (Essential)
* BNG knowledge and experience
* Level 2 Bat Licence
* Driving licence and access to own car (Essential)
