Job Description:
* Contract: Permanent, full-time
* Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire
* Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience
Our client is a high-stakes operation SME seeking an experienced HR Advisor to be part of their exciting growth plans. You will have experience in a similar role with good UK labour law knowledge and enjoy providing high-quality advice to managers, supporting them at various parts of the employee life cycle. You will oversee all employee relations matters and work on key HR projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance management, and off-boarding
* Build strong working relationships across the business, delivering value-added services to management and employees
* Provide HR guidance and support to management where necessary
* Develop, implement, and improve HR policies and procedures that comply with UK legal requirements
* Support the full recruitment process, including job descriptions, adverts, social media updates, and interviews
* Manage contractual paperwork, including offer letters and contracts of employment
* Maintain employee records and update HR systems
* Administer employee payroll and absence management
* Produce HR reports as required
* Deliver training programmes to Managers on HR practices and procedures
* Design and work across HR projects
* Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance
* Monitor and develop performance appraisal systems
* Gather and evaluate market data to measure the organisation’s competitiveness for salary reviews, compensation, and benefits package
Required skills & qualifications:
* Experience working in an HR advisory role, preferably in an SME
* CIPD qualified, or equivalent experience
* Strong IT skills
* Good attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload
* Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
