Job Description:
Astute Recruitment are searching for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join an already excellent team for our Kegworth based client, on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives within a team environment but is just as comfortable working off their own initiative when required.
Key responsibilities:
* With 1,700 colleagues nationwide you will ensure all payrolls are processed precisely and on time, including statutory deductions and payments
* Conduct thorough checks of payrolls and ad-hoc tasks before submission
* Liaise with internal customers, external auditors, pension advisors, CSA and local councils
* Ensure accurate data entry/statistical reporting in a timely manner and in accordance with business needs
* Operate the time and attendance system proficiently, ensuring all month and year end tasks are completed on time
* Provide crucial support for key tasks and roles, including ad-hoc projects and maintaining standard operating procedures
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in a similar role and a similar size payroll (1700 people)
* Have proven hands on experience and knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes
* Demonstrate effective and concise written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently when required
* Adaptable and open to change
* Knowledge of ADP or People XD is desirable but not essential
Benefits and hours:
* Salary up to £28,000 depending on relevant experience
* 8:30am until 5pm, Monday to Thursday
* Early finish on a Friday
* Hybrid working with 2 days from home
* Annual bonus and pay reviews
* 27 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Option to purchase additional holidays
