We are partnered with an international Oil and Gas company who are looking for a Tax Manager to join their London team. In this role the successful candidate will provide support for tax systems, the risk & advisory function and the group’s international operations. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to be an experienced tax accountant with strong corporate tax knowledge.
In this role you will be:
* Lead and coordinate the preparation of tax governance requirements.
* Prepare year-end corporate tax provisions and assist with year-end tax accounting work.
* Ensure that tax queries are dealt with across the business and identify opportunities for tax savings and tax risk management.
* Provide tax support for the group’s expanding international business units and projects, including advising on tax implications and investment decisions for the business.
* Oversee the preparation of Corporate Interest Restriction tax returns.
* Develop, build and manage relationships with global tax authorities and external tax advisors.
* Be a key contributor to setting group’s tax strategy and scaling the tax function as the business grows.
* Support the wider finance team to resolve tax authority audits or statutory auditor reviews, particularly where they concern transfer pricing or international tax issues.
You will need:
* Qualified Tax accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA).
* Strong Knowledge and experience of direct tax (legislation & policies) with experience in UK oil, gas and power trading.
* Strong time management skills, capable of providing accurate and timely tax compliance reporting.
* Experienced with managing and implementing tax functionality within SAP or similar ERP system.
