Job Description:
Industrial Electrician
The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Electrician with experience of working in an industrial, manufacturing, production or engineering environment. Your role will be as a maintenance engineer ideally working a continental shift based role. You will work within a great team environment within one of Exeter largest facilities in a diverse role.
Job Responsibilities:
* Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences on a variety of Electrical equipment, and can be exposed to mechanical ones too.
* Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
* Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work.
* Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies.
* Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
* Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent in Electrical engineering or 17th edition qualified minimum.
* Demonstrated proficiency in industrial maintenance and fault finding. on electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
* Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and /or mechanical diagrams as well as fault finding in control panels and on industrial systems.
* Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: PLC’s, Fabrication, Welding, Vacuum Technology.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications would be an advantage.
* Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Pay and Hours:
Two shift 6am-2pm/three shift 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, Day shift (usually in training), Continental
