Futures Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our client, a global leader in the scientific and technical manufacturing industry. Our client is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for their customers and is actively recruiting a talented Staff Accountant to join their Chichester team on a permanent, full-time basis!
As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our client receives timely payments for goods and services and accurately records all company transactions. You will be responsible for verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with current IFRS government regulations to uphold the effectiveness of internal controls.
Key Responsibilities :
- Managing general accounting processes
- Implementing and maintaining duties and controls to protect the company against impropriety
- Conducting monthly close and financial reporting
- Performing reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Preparing presentations and journal reports
- Assisting with inventory counts and conducting resulting analysis 
- Overseeing record retention for Finance, HR, and other areas
- Leading and/or assisting with audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3 years of accounting experience
- 2 years of experience in an IFRS environment (Preferred)
- Excellent mathematical, communication, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in software systems such as Sage, Xero, Excel, JDE, and OneStream (highly desirable)
- Ability to work with business systems directly or indirectly
- Direct approach and ability to meet deadlines
