Paralegal - Residential Conveyancing
Brentwood, Essex
Full time, Permanent position
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Our new, welcoming Client is a prestigious Law Firm seeking an experienced Paralegal for their Residential Conveyancing department internally with the opportunity for training & growth!
Main duties & responsibilities:
The role will fast-paced, varied and will involve supporting and assisting fee earners within the department with all aspects of case preparation including:
• Ordering documents from HMLR and support of issuing draft contract packs.
• Reviewing Client AML & ID Documents.
• Dealing with Property Searches.
• Dealing with Mortgage Offers.
• Dealing with Sale transaction enquiries.
• Exchanging Contracts.
• Setting matters up for Completion including Completion Statements and Bills.
• Stamp Duty Returns.
• Updating Estate Agents, Brokers and clients when necessary.
• General support to your Fee Earner/Case Handler.
• Working as part of a team.
This position will develop into a Fee earning role with support given to you!
Skills & Experience:
* The right candidate will have excellent oral and written communication and strong inter-personal skills.
* In addition, they will be proactive, have strong organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise in order to meet time recording and billing targets.
* Good IT skills are also a requirement.
* Previous paralegal experience is essential within Residential Conveyancing.
