Management Accountant - 2 year Fixed term contract
The Firm:
Huge, international shipping business with an excellent reputation as being a top employer.
The Role:
* Production of the monthly management accounts for container ships. This includes reviewing costs, calculating accruals and prepayments, liaising with the operational team and writing the narrative for the variances compared to budget/forecast.
* Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations relating to vessels including accruals, prepayments and inventory.
* Budgeting & forecasting for all the vessels.
* Working with an accounts assistant and the AP department to ensure vessel cost invoices are processed .
* Authorising weekly payment runs and adhoc payments
The Ideal candidate:
* At least 5 years’ experience working in a UK based finance department, producing management accounts including variance analysis.
* Advanced IT skills. Proficient use of spreadsheets and other PC packages
* Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
* SAP experience would be an advantage.
