The Client
We are excited to partner with a well known classic car restoration business based in Tamworth. With over 50 years’ experience in the restoration of classic Formula 1, 2 and 3 cars from the 1970’s along with classic cars such as Aston Martin DB4 and DB5 along with other well-known manufacturers.

The role

As a CNC programmer your primary responsibilities will include creating, modifying and optimising CNC programmes to ensure the efficient production of precision components. You will interpret technical drawings and specifications, select appropriate tools and set machine parameters to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC machine, conducting test runs, and making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality. Troubleshooting and resolving programming issues, maintaining the machine, and collaborating with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines are also key aspects of this role. Your expertise in using the Heidenhain control system and knowledge of precision machining will be crucial in producing high-quality parts while adhering to safety and operational standards.

The Person
You should have a solid foundation in machining or mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years of experience programming CNC machines using the Heidenhain operating system. Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code, along with experience in CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, is essential. You will be skilled in reading and interpreting technical blueprints to create precise CNC programs that meet design specifications. Additionally, you should have experience in troubleshooting and optimizing CNC programs to enhance efficiency and product quality
