Role:                Communications, Marketing & Media  Manager
Based:             Greater London
Hours:              35 hours per week remote with 1 day per month in the office
Rate:                £34164 - £36,173
Start Date:        ASAP
Duration:          6 month FTC
Our client, a well-respected charity, is looking for a skilled and passionate communications specialist to lead on their communications strategy. 
Synopsis of duties:
* Develop and implement multi-channel campaigns aimed at enhancing brand awareness.
* Serve as the brand guardian for the charity, ensuring all communications and key messages align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency.
* Create high-quality content tailored for our target audiences, adapting it for various platforms and channels.
* Write press releases and news articles, identifying opportunities for thought leadership and expert commentary, while promptly addressing media inquiries from national, regional, and trade outlets.
* Oversee our social media channels, crafting strategies to increase audience growth and engagement.
* Assess the effectiveness of our communications initiatives, using insights to guide content creation and strategy.
* Provide guidance to colleagues on best practices in communications, equipping them with the necessary tools and information to represent the charity effectively.
* Maintain a communications calendar that includes external awareness days and events.• Manage your workload efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet competing demands.
* Stay informed about legislative, competitive, social, and technological developments, using this knowledge to enhance Standing Together’s correspondence with customers and supporters.
* Ensure all activities comply with relevant governance frameworks and standards.
* Engage in internal training to deepen understanding of Standing Together’s theoretical models to enhance external communications.
* Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including partner agencies, supporters, and funders, to build productive relationships.
* Work flexibly as part of the team, embodying the values of Standing Together.
* Communicate clearly, concisely, and with emotional intelligence in all interactions.
* Adhere to policy, legal, ethical, and professional standards when engaging with service users.
* Follow key policies related to confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding practices.
* Participate in supervision and line management processes as required.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of the needs of women, men and children who have experienced domestic violence
* A proven track record in communications/PR, preferably in media relations
* Experience in developing and delivering multi-channel communication campaigns
* Experience in managing social media channels, developing strategies to grow audiences and engagement
* Experience working with external suppliers including graphic designers, videographers, etc
