Role Overview:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will provide in-depth quality assurance contributions for our client’s applications supporting the automation API testing and WEB UI testing. The engineer needs to have strong Java programming skills and will develop test scripts on our Java frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured API for a B2C multimarket e-commerce powered by SAP Commerce, he/she will implement and execute automation/manual tests and ensure that we deliver the highest quality services to our clients.

Responsibilities:
* Development of new WEB UI and API test scripts Java-based projects using Selenium, REST Assured and Cucumber BDD
* Bug Fixing, Code reviews, PR merges of Java-based Automation projects as well as review of new functionalities, with effort assessment, to include into the automation suite
* Being deeply involved in the business activities and the decision-making process to be aware of sudden changes that might impact the test results in addition to collaborating with the team providing input for services backlog, sprint planning, story development, testing strategies, demos, and team retrospective
* Previous experience in SAP Commerce (Hybris), API Automation testing, Atlassian’s JIRA, Confluence and the use of DevOps roles and scope of work is a plus
* Building a trustful relationship with product owners, developers, business analysts, operations and other team members
* Integration of Automation scripts into CI/CD pipeline releases in addition to manual validation of the failures and script updates when necessary
* Maintain automation suite across different environments and make it reliable for different countries as well as raising accurate and detailed defects and issues on Jira
About the candidate:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in an IT-related field
* 4+ years of experience with Java application development in addition to working knowledge of source code repository tools using Git, Bitbucket, etc.
* 3+ years of experience in Automation testing using Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber BDD or API Automated testing
* Worked with eCommerce platforms (background knowledge in order workflow, product catalogue, payments)
* Good communication and soft skills to align with the team and explain the day-to-day activities to other developers, QA teams and Client’s managers
* Demonstrate the ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables while being comfortable and adaptive working in shifted hours
* Great understanding of enterprise infrastructure and application components (network, application and database servers, storage, computing, etc.)
