Housekeeper Job - Rawdon Leeds LS19 West Yorkshire - start ASAP - £18/20 GPH - £35,000+ GPA
Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to look after a large period property based in a secluded semi-rural location near Rawdon, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
This can be a full-time or part-time role with a minimum of 4 mornings per week. The client is flexible depending on the availability of the candidate and their skills and experience.
The main property has 6 bedrooms (5 en-suite), 5 reception rooms, office, utility room, large garage, indoor swimming pool, gym as well as an additional outside estate-yard building and glass house used by the gardeners. The house has been lovingly renovated by its owners to a high standard in a traditional manner with high quality furnishings and finishes.
The property is the residence of a busy couple with University age children who visit regularly and a small dog.
The house is surrounded by two acres of mature gardens including a vegetable garden, cut flower borders, extensive lawns and an additional paddock with stables (no horses). There is also an adjacent ancillary property, a three-bed lodge house.
The owners are looking for help at home which will free up some of their own time, allowing them to travel more, and to host more regular small events at the house (eg charity open garden).
Candidates need to be flexible, be happy to work under their own initiative and work with the client to understand how they like their home to be run and looked after. You should also have a keen eye for detail. Candidates from a hospitality and or yacht background also considered.
Housekeeper part-time - ideally 4 mornings per week 9am to 2pm
Duties:
* Hands on cleaning - understanding what needs to be done on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
* Laundry
* Ironing
* Bed changing
* Occasional dog-sitting
Housekeeper full-time - ideally live out but can consider live in
Duties in addition to the above:
* Shopping / running errands
* Assisting in the kitchen - eg occasional baking cakes, helping with preserving and freezing home grown produce
* Flower arranging
* Keeping the house well organised
* Assisting with occasional events at the property
* Be aware of property maintenance requirements and servicing
