I’m recruiting for a Pricing Specialist to join an expanding freight forwarding company based in the Birmingham area. You must have AIR or OCEAN freight experience.
Daily duties will include:
*Receiving customer quotations
*Air & ocean freight pricing import, export and cross trade
*Negotiating rates with carriers, hauliers and suppliers
*Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within an agreed timeframe
*Creating and issuing quotations
*Communicate with customers to manage and follow up on all quotes, obtaining feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to relevant teams
*Track success and failure rate of quotes
*Develop and build relationships with customers
*Updating tariffs
Experience needed:
*Hands on operational and industry knowledge of air and seafreight inbound, outbound and crosstrade
*Ability to work under pressure
*Dangerous goods knowledge is preferable
*Strong numerical and commercial skills
*Excellent communication skills
Working hours:
*Monday - friday 0900am - 1730pm
