Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic educator to lead, inspire, and support students in their personal and academic development.
About the Role:
As Head of Year, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive school culture, ensuring the well-being of students, and driving academic excellence. You will be responsible for leading a year group, providing guidance and support to both students and staff, and ensuring high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the pastoral care and academic progress of a year group.
* Monitoring student behaviour, attendance, and performance, and implementing strategies to address any issues.
* Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students’ individual needs.
* Organising and leading year group assemblies and events.
* Contributing to whole-school initiatives and playing an active role in the school’s leadership team.
* Supporting the development and implementation of school policies, particularly those related to student welfare.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Substantial experience in a pastoral or leadership role within a secondary school setting.
* A strong commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proven track record of improving student outcomes and behaviour.
* The ability to lead and inspire both students and colleagues.
