Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) underpins everything we do in our business at Anglian Water. As well as maintaining our systems and ’keeping the lights on’, we gather business intelligence, deliver complex system upgrades, provide innovative contact centre and mobile technology, design, build, and maintain new systems for future digital technology to enable Anglian Water to continue to deliver a high quality service to its customers.
Our team has been undergoing an exciting transformation to modernise our practices, tools and platforms to enhance our services and ensure they are best positioned to play a proactive and value-orientated role across our business.
As a Programme Manager, you will be accountable for leading the delivery of the strategic programme objectives through the development and delivery of large-scale projects and initiatives to the agreed time, cost and quality. This role will be involved in programme management of both DDat and Operational Technology (OT) projects.
What will you be going?
We are looking for someone to manage the delivery of these programmes across process, systems, and people.
You will be the lead in reporting into governance groups for ensuring that the programme of work/efficiency targets are measured accordingly against targets in terms of cost, benefit, performance, efficiencies, delivery and timescales. This includes the project management expertise to be able to assess multiple opportunities, identify dependencies and generate an appropriate programme of work.
You’ll be accountable for identifying risks to the programme outputs. Resolving conflicts and issues where necessary, to ensure that the appropriate mitigation measures are recommended and implemented.
You will report on the progress and communicate to stakeholders the resource requirements outside the project team to enable the work to be planned and completed. You will identify future opportunities, develop project groups/workstreams and track performance to ensure the overarching strategy and vision for the programme is realised.

What does it take to be a Programme Manager?
* Recognised project management qualification (Prince 2, MSP or APM)

* Proven history in effective programme management ideally in an IS environment

* Financial awareness / budgetary management

* Change & Risk management

* Proven experience of implementing change in a busy operational environment

* Financial / Budgetary Management of Programmes of work greater than £5m a year.

* Proven exemplary stakeholder management skills

* Excellent communications skills

* Ability to adapt, challenge and implement change

* Commercial awareness with a track record of working with Framework Partners to deliver the desired outcomes.

* Proven ability in delivery business objectives at a strategic level
