We are currently working exclusively with a leading listed natural resources business based in central London, to recruit a technically strong Senior Finance Manager

This is a newly created role that will oversee internal controls, management and financial accounting, SOX compliance, FX, Tax, Audit and partnering with non-finance colleagues to help deliver on the Group’s strategic growth plans.

Duties


* Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the UK entities in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
* Ensure appropriate accounting policies are consistently applied across UK entities.
* Ensure the integrity of the internal control environment and systems.
* Collaborate with other Group Finance team members for journal entry, invoice processing and bank processing.
* Develop and maximise use of accounting software.
* Support internal and external audit process.
* Maintain regular communication with overseas-based accounting teams for weekly cash reporting to the CFO and maintaining intercompany balances.
* Assist with tight financial reporting and provide qualitative spend analysis.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial support across the business.
* Prepare monthly FX rates for the group and process monthly revaluations for the UK entities.
* Provide mentorship to junior finance team members.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as needed.:
Experience Required
* Qualified accountant (ACA preferred)
* Experience with IFRS accounting and group reporting. Understanding and experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) desirable.
* Experience or an interest in Mining / Resources / Oil & Gas
