Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant for a growing Property business based in Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will have experience with high volume payroll processing (weekly and monthly) and the ability to manage discrepancies in a timely, professional manner.
We are looking for a candidate with the gravitas to manage a busy work load whilst adhering to tight deadlines, as well the ability to work well using their own initiative whilst being a supportive team player whilst being a positive advocate for driving change.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, offering hybrid working with the expectation of 2-3 days in the office every week.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing the weekly and monthly payroll
* Responsible for managing discrepancies and queries in a timely manner
* Assist team in data manipulation and data upload of payroll input data received from various areas of the business
* Calculating holiday pay and maintaining an excel spreadsheet
* Maintain an Excel spreadsheet and calculate sick pay for employees.
* Opportunity to be involved with projects
Key skills:
* Ideally 2 years+ experience working within a Payroll function
* Experience dealing with company benefits would be highly desirable
* Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
* IT savvy with a solid understanding of Excel including V look ups
* Excellent communication skills with a collaborative work approach
* Confident managing queries both on the phone and via email
* Team player and willing to get stuck in
