Jobstore are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our client’s leading operation in specialist sheet metal fabrication services to organisations across the UK.
We are looking for an applicant who is keen to join a business who is the leader in their field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal parts using specialised equipment.
Typical duties will be
- Prepare surfaces for coating by manually degreasing/cleaning, sanding, and masking
- Setting the powder gun appropriately for the work piece.
- Operate curing ovens to bake on the powder coating
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and organised workspace
West Spraying experience is also an advantage although not essential. You will be working a 38 ½ hr week, with an early finish on a Friday.
Applicants must be;
- Proficient in basic maths for measuring and mixing coatings
- Experience with power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Mechanical knowledge to assemble, fabricate, and weld metal parts
