My client is a leading Insurance Software Provider and they are looking for a SQL Developer, ideally with previous Insurance experience, to design, code, verify, test, document, amend, refactor and implement software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements. This role places specific emphasis on SQL and reporting solutions.
Job Duties * Design, build and refactor SQL and reporting code against best practices and standards
* Review and debug code
* Implement unit tests
* Implement system tests
* Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to resolve
* Estimate the workload based on provided acceptance criteria
Required Skills and Experience * Proven experience as an SQL Developer
* Quality focussed
* Problem solving
* Familiar with design and architectural patterns
* Understanding of Agile methodologies
* Experienced in Source Code Management, Continuous Integration and Test Automation
* Actively participate in work ceremonies, such as the Daily Stand-up
Technical * T-SQL
* Microsoft SSIS
* Microsoft SSRS
* Distributed source control systems (Git, Mercurial etc.)
* Microsoft Power BI or other Data Visualisation tools (desirable)
* SSAS (desirable)
* Jira (desirable)
