Job Description:
Our exclusive client based in Chorley are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work alongside the Finance Manager. The company are going through a period of growth and due to the increase in workload, need someone to deal with the transactional accounting duties.
Responsibilities include:
* Purchase ledger duties including processing invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with queries
* Preparing weekly/monthly payment runs
* Bank reconciliations
* Credit control duties including chasing any overdue debts and deal with any queries to ensure prompt payment
* Allocating payments and raising credit notes where necessary
* Creating, sending and following up on invoices
* Any other adhoc transactional accounting duties
You must have previous accounting experience to be considered for this role ideally on both the purchase ledger and sales ledger. You will be naturally organised, have strong analytical skills and be able to work to deadlines. You will also be a confident communicator.
