Head of Health & Safety * Location: Belfast

Reed are supporting a Third Sector client to find their next Head of Health & Safety, who will oversee the effective management of health and safety functions across all jurisdictions. The successful candidate will champion health and safety awareness, develop and maintain systems and processes, and ensure statutory obligations are met.
Day-to-day of the role: * Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across all jurisdictions.
* Establish systems for identifying, managing, and monitoring health and safety risks.
* Provide continual improvement in health and safety management and training.
* Conduct organisational health and safety audits.
* Collect, analyse, and report on health and safety data to ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety matters and liaise with external agencies and regulatory authorities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * NEBOSH Diploma (H&S) or equivalent.
* Membership of a relevant health and safety professional organisation (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM).
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and environment.
* Experience in developing health and safety policies and procedures.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements within the UK & ROI.
* Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office packages.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
* Strong communication skills to present complex information understandably.
