Senior Mechanic / Plant Fitter
Ashford
£30k - £40K DOE
My client, a market-leading organisation, is looking for a Senior Mechanic / Plant Fitter
to join their team! They are open to considering candidates with different levels of experience
, from general mechanics
with an understanding of agricultural vehicles
, to plant fitters
who have worked on agricultural vehicles
and are looking for a step up in their career
.
As a Senior Mechanic / Plant Fitter,
you will be:
* Working on company fleet
and agricultural equipment.
* Carrying out services and general repairs
on vehicles and equipment.
* Managing a workshop plant fitter to ensure duties are being carried out correctly.
* Keep a record maintenance schedule
on all equipment.
* Arranging vehicle MOTs.
* Travelling to various sites
to carry out repairs and maintenance on vehicles
and equipment.
* Performing office/computer-based duties
as well as manual handling tasks.
* Any other duties required.
To be successful in the application for this Senior Mechanic / Plant Fitter
role,you will have/be:
* Experience working as a mechanic with an understanding of agricultural vehicles and equipment.
* Alternatively, you will have experience working as a mechanic / plant fitter working on vehicles and plant in the agricultural sector.
* Able to interpret task/data sheets.
* Computer literate and competent using Microsoft Office.
* Strong organisational skills to manage bookings.
