AJ Chambers is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well-established firm of chartered accountants based In Brentwood. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the acquisition of significant new business and rapid portfolio expansion.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands on exposure to a diverse client base consisting of interesting projects and client work. This vacancy also presents the excellent opportunities to progress to Manager and beyond.
In this role you will:
As a Senior Accountant, your role involves reviewing the accounts prepared by junior colleagues, offering them guidance and support to help them develop their skills. You’ll be the point of contact for clients, answering their questions, gathering information for account preparation, and assisting with management accounts for larger clients. Part of your responsibility includes training clients on new accounting software and advising them on maintaining accurate records. If you’re interested, there’s also an opportunity to work on audit projects. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for preparing corporate tax returns and coordinating with the tax department and HMRC to ensure compliance.
