* Follow schemes of work as required by the subject leader.
* Develop students’ key skills in reading, writing, communication, and mathematics through lessons.
* Maintain the classroom as a conducive learning environment, including displaying students’ work.
* Ensure the condition of learning materials, equipment, furniture, and fittings in the classroom.
* Attend departmental meetings and actively participate in departmental activities.
* Attend parents’ evenings and cause for concern meetings as appropriate.
* Fulfill the duties of a form tutor as required.
* Promote the School’s Equality Policy.
* Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular provision.
* Undertake other tasks as negotiated or delegated by the subject leader.
Specific Responsibilities for All Teachers: * Teach high-quality lessons that meet the school’s self-evaluation standards.
* Plan and prepare schemes of learning and lessons, teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5 classes according to their educational needs.
* Promote the general progress of pupils assigned to you, including setting and marking work both in school and elsewhere.
