The Group Financial Controller is responsible for the day-to-day operation, accuracy, and integrity of the financial accounting systems of all companies and reports directly to the Group FinanceDirector,while also working closely with multiple stakeholders across the business including sales, customer success, delivery, and operations.
Responsibilities
MonthlyReporting
* Manage the month-end close process forall group companies and prepare the group consolidated accounts.
* Analysis of actual performance vs thefinancial plan
* Reconciliation of Annual Recurring Revenue(ARR)torevenue, ensuring that recognised ARR is appropriate and that revenue has been appropriately recognised.
* Monitoring of contract renewals whilst identifying lost revenues, risks and opportunities
* Prepare monthly management accounts reports for senior management, investors and lenders.
Forecasting and Budgeting
* Maintain monthly rolling income statement and balance sheet forecast
* Prepare detailed budget, working with cost centre owners to ensure the components and the driversof the budget are well understood.
* Cash flow forecasting
TaxandAudit
* Preparation of year end audit files forall group companies and liaise with auditors during completion of the audits
* Responsiblefor VAT,sales tax returns and income tax returns of all group companies
Personnel and Financial Management
* Mentor and develop finance teammembers ,fostering a culture of continuous improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and drive efficiency
* Implement financial policies and procedures that enhance internal controls and improve efficiency of financial processes.
* Improve,rationalise,enhance (asappropriate) the financials ystems of the business.
* Manage company bank accounts and credit cards
