Overview

Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Cashier on a 9-month fixed-term contract.  As an Interim Cashier, you will play a crucial role in reconciling high volume bank accounts and ensuring accurate processing of payments. Your attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve adjusting items will be essential in maintaining the bank account within our Financial Policy Manual. You will have the opportunity to communicate regularly with payment teams, providing advice and discussing actions required for accurate resolution. Your feedback to our Global Center of Excellence (GCoE) counterparts will contribute to achieving accurate processing and help manage the overall maintenance of our bank accounts. How you’ll make an impact

* Reporting to the Team Leader, and working as part of a dedicated cashiering team
* Create ledgers for all bank accounts within remit and prepare bank reconciliation agreed to bank statements on a daily basis.
* Daily audit of the cash book reports and suspense accounts
* Analyse and resolve all outstanding items and adjustments
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, to update on queries and cash postings
* Create, process and log outward payments
* Seek approval from the bank mandate signatories
* Liaise with the bank
* Maintain accurate records for all bank accounts managed
* Month end reconciliation
* Working to deadlines and highlight any issues with the Team Leader
* Liaison with the auditors

About You

* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
* Previous banking experience, specifically with manual reconciliations, is preferable.
* Ideally a minimum of 6 months finance experience
* Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
