What you will do

The key elements of the role is to ensure our IREF business delivers corporate KPI, mandatory compliance, ensure TBT are completed monthly, drive the management, and provide technical support to our team of technicians.
Part of your role is to complete all technicians’ reviews, use coaching methods, identify training needs and promote best talent. This role is predominantly office based, but site visits are required to maintain positive customer relationships, ensuring pro-active feedback, documentation of the customer’s equipment and systems status /work completed.
You will be part of out team, and collaborate with Service Manager, Service Coordinator, team of technicians and other internal teams. It is a great opportunity for experienced technicians who have leadership skills and industrial refrigeration technical knowledge to step away from working on tools.
How you will do it

* Manage the on call rota to ensure adequate levels of cover at all times

* Participate in Safety week activities and encourage technician participation

* Highlight and work with admin to ensure technicians Tools are calibrated when required on required frequency, Electrical tools are PAT tested and within date

* Support Techs to identify First time fix, driving client service delivery

* Ensure compliance with the Johnson Controls safety culture and adhere to all applicable safety standards, requirements and equipment.

* Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations

* One to One Reviews                                                                          

* Reward & Recognition - Identify high performing technicians and use available platforms to recognize & reward. Conduct Apprentice reviews with SM to ensure progression is as per training plan.                                                                                                  

* Identify and promote team members who have shown a level of ability and ambition for progression within JCI.            

What we look for

* Ability to manage, influence and collaborate with both internal & external stakeholders at all levels

* Proven experience in industrial refrigeration, including experience in a leadership type of role.

* Technical background and knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration Systems in both industrial and commercial environments.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

* Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

* Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

* Proven ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.

* Driving License
