Job Description:
As Director of Finance and Procurement you will report into the Chief Operating Officer and will drive organisational financial performance, assuming responsibility for the monitoring of efficient management of the organisations financial resources.

Description
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Working closely with other Directors, as part of the Senior Management Team, facilitating collaborative working and collective strategic advice/recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
* Leading on raising awareness and knowledge sharing across the organisation of financial management matters and play a key role in embedding a culture of financial discipline.
* Supporting the development of the financial strategy, advise and assist the ELT in its implementation.
* Ensuring that the ELT and organisation have accurate forecast and financial models that provide sufficient insight to inform their strategic decision making.
* Leading, managing and developing the teams responsible for procurement, financial and management accounting, payroll and financial planning and analysis.
* Accountability for ensuring the annual accounts meet statutory requirements and audit standards.
* Delivery of effective procurement strategies, policies and key performance indicators.
* Providing technical support and advice to the Accounting Officer in the exercise of their responsibilities, as required.
Profile
* Knowledge and experience of HM Treasury’s Managing Public Money and International Accounting Standards
* Qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
* Strategic thinking as well as an eye for detail to ensure operational excellence in Finance.
* Ability to guide, coach and develop staff and encourage staff responsibility and engagement
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, sufficient to engage confidently and effectively with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.
* Proficiency to formulate and articulate a vision for Finance in line with the organisation’s objectives within the corporate vision and corporate strategy.
* Experience of leading annual statutory reporting within a tight timetable
* Experience of developing annual budgets and costing and analysis models.
