FP&A Finance Assistant

The FP&A Finance Assistant role sits within the exciting and vibrant Levy sector of Compass Group reporting directly into the Sector Analyst providing consolidation, reporting and analysis for the Finance Director and Heads of Finance.
As FP&A Analyst within our Levy sector you will based in our Birmingham office with flexibility to work from home occasionally. You will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. and, in return, you will have the chance to progress your career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go above and beyond.
The FP&A Finance Assistant will act as business support to the central overhead functions within Levy consolidating the flash; P&L and Balance Sheet reporting requirements. In addition you will also be responsible for:
* Helping prepare key business reporting such as month end reports, weekly flash, budgets and other ad-hoc analysis.
* Weekly flash consolidation and champion for new Quicksight flash process
* Monthly balance sheet review for central Levy, escalating key risks/ opportunities to senior stakeholders.
* Preparation of Levy Balance Sheet / Dashboard by consolidating the sub-sector submissions
* Promoting working capital improvements through supporting timely invoice processing
* Providing finance support to the Levy central overhead functions including month end adjustments, forecasting and budgeting.
* Providing transactional support to central overhead team with invoice processing, supplier account creation, IT equipment capex etc
* Managing the Levy finance query inbox
* Ensuring health and safety of all colleagues within the business and report any incidents via the approved company processes
The successful FP&A Finance Assistant will be:
* Experienced in management accounting inclusive of accounting adjustments
* Analytical and with a high level of attention to detail
* Experienced in business partnering non-finance professionals to support the delivery of sound financial information
* Have advanced excel skills
* An effective communicator with the ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
* Able to use initiative and innovative thinker
Desirable attributes include:
* Actively studying Accountant in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or the like with good experience in accounting roles
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment
* Experience of SAP and Cognos and QuickSight as analysis and reporting tools
