Cover Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Pay: £90 - £110 per day
Working Hours: 08:00 - 15:30

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position is on a supply basis, and successful candidates will need to be contactable early in the morning to accept bookings. Your role includes implementing pre-prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain focused on their work.
* Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
* Provide support and guidance to students during the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Skills:
* Confidence: Ability to confidently lead a classroom and deliver effective lessons.
* Time Management: Efficiently plan and utilise time to cover a range of subjects.
* Communication: Clear and effective communication with students and staff.
* Reliability: Consistent and dependable in fulfilling teaching responsibilities.
* Classroom Management: Ability to maintain discipline and create a positive learning atmosphere.
Desired Skills:
* Experience with Young People: Previous experience working with secondary school-aged students is desirable.
* Teaching Assistant Background: Ideal for graduates, tutors, and teaching assistants looking to progress their career.
