Job Description:
Reed HR are seeking a dedicatedHR Assistant to join a charity based in the Bywell area. This is a permanent position, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference and supporting the smooth operation of a busy HR function. 
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
* Support the HR department in implementing policies and procedures.
* Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
* Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
* Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus and leaves.
* Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Help organise training & development initiatives.
* Participate in HR projects, like the collection of employee feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position.
* Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
* Ability to work with MS Office Suite.
* Understanding of HR functions and best practices.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
* Superb organisational and time management skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* CIPD qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
