Management Accountant
Location: Manchester / Hybrid
Salary: Up to £40,000 (Dependent on Experience)
We are partnering with a prominent Manchester based insurance provider to recruit a full-time, permanent Management Accountant. Our client operates on a national scale, working closely with a variety of partners. They are on an exciting growth trajectory with emerging market opportunities.
Role Overview: Based at the company’s headquarters, the Management Accountant will play a key role within the finance team, managing the accounts for the company’s trading entities. This crucial position involves delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing management accounts, including journal entries and financial reporting.
* Analyse financial performance and explain variances.
* Prepare detailed contract-level reports for management review.
* Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support the annual external audit process.
* Maintain strong financial controls in line with the company’s reporting standards.
* Assist with cash flow forecasting.
* Collaborate with the finance team to optimize the working capital cycle.
Ideal Candidate:
* Part-qualified accounting professional (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
* Proven experience in managing accounts from start to finish.
* Proficient in financial systems.
* Ability to perform well under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the business.
