In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of injection mould tools, ensuring they are always in optimal condition. You will also provide machine shop support to the engineering and production functions of the organisation. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in engineering and a proven ability to work with precision and accuracy, this position is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct efficient repairs and servicing of moulds, jigs, fixtures, and extruder parts to maintain production requirements and standards
* Manufacture spare parts according to drawings or by taking measurements of existing parts and creating new ones to the same standard
* Achieve the highest possible standard of polish on bought-in parts and moulds to maintain the company’s quality standards
* Inspect externally manufactured components for compatibility with existing moulds
* Maintain the condition of sub-contracted moulds as necessary
* Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable condition
* Perform periodic maintenance checks and record findings
* Assist in the training of other team members and attend training courses to enhance your skill set
* Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and tidy work environment
* Maintain compliance with all company rules, regulations, and quality standards
* Support the implementation of lean manufacturing practises and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs with grades A-C
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship
* Formal engineering qualification
* Engineering/technical background
* 5 years of experience in a similar role
* Formal indentured apprenticeship
Our client offers a competitive salary of £41,500 per year and a full-time working pattern, including a continental shift pattern. Travel may be required as per the needs of the role.
