Key Responsibilities:
* Advise clients on all aspects of Patent Law, focusing on Engineering and Aerospace technologies
* Draft and prosecute patent applications in the UK, Europe, and worldwide
* Conduct thorough patentability and freedom-to-operate searches
* Provide strategic counsel on patent portfolios and IP rights management
* Represent clients in oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO)
* Collaborate closely with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into robust patent applications
Qualifications:
* Part/ Qualified Patent Attorney (UK and/or European)
* Technical degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field
* Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patents within the Engineering or Aerospace sectors
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to grasp complex technical details
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
