We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter for one of our fantastic clients in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will be tim e-served or apprentice-trained, with a strong background in operating and setting CNC machinery. This role is crucial for the machining of stainless and bronze valve bodies, focusing on small batch production where setting precision is key.
CNC Setter
* Annual Salary: £30k plus shift allowance and bonuses
* Location: Sheffield
* Job Type: Full-time
Day-to-day of the role: * Setting and operating Mazak / Okuma Machining Centres and Harrison Lathes with Fanuc controllers.
* Working with manual milling processes.
* Ensuring high-quality machining of stainless and bronze valve bodies.
* Operating twin spindle machinery, axe acumer, and fan hook controlled systems.
* Working with masach 350 and ISO programming.
* Operating Star sliding head machines.
* Prioritising setting over operating to ensure the highest standards of production.
Shift Patterns: * Morning: 6am - 2pm
* Afternoon: 2pm - 10pm
* Morning: 6am - 12pm
* Afternoon: 12pm - 7pm
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Time-served or apprentice-trained in CNC machinery.
* Proficient with Mazak / Okuma Machining Centres and Harrison Lathes.
* Experience with manual milling.
* Familiarity with twin spindle, axe acumer, fan hook controlled systems, masach 350, and ISO programming.
* Experience with Star sliding head machines is advantageous.
* A strong focus on setting, with the ability to maintain high-quality standards in small batch production.
