Mechanical Fitter
We are working with a leading company specialising in a comprehensive range of engineering services. Located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, their team of expert engineers is known for delivering top-notch solutions.
As part of our growth plans, we are looking to expand our team with talented professionals. They are seeking a time-served, skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining traditional lathes to fabricate and shape various materials with the highest level of precision.
Job Responsibilities
* Stripping hydraulic cylinders
* Identifying problems
* Rebuilding and testing of hydraulic cylinders
* Carry out daily machine checks, ensuring that any fault is reported immediately
* Continually improve processes where required
Person Specification
* Previous mechanical fitting experience within a manufacturing environment
* Strong mechanical knowledge
* Experience with MIG and TIG welding would be an advantage
* Experience within the hydraulic industry would be an advantage
* An excellent work ethic, punctual and work well within a team
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits
* Monday to Friday
* 08:00am to 05:30pm
* Up to £33,000
