Job Description:
Job Title: Animal Care Lecturer
Location: Northeast England
Salary: £33,763
Main Purpose: Deliver high-quality teaching and manage associated tasks efficiently.
Key Duties:
* Conduct scheduled teaching, including preparation and evaluation.
* Develop and deliver assigned courses.
* Mark student work and complete necessary paperwork.
* Participate in assessment moderation.
* Manage course data and liaise with awarding bodies.
* Prepare learning materials and assignments.
* Attend relevant team and cross-college meetings.
* Assist in course review and quality improvement planning.
* Arrange work experience for students.
* Adhere to college policies and quality assurance systems.
* Uphold college values and professionalism.
* Safeguard welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
* Promote equality and diversity in teaching and assessment.
Qualifications:
* Essential: Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy, teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/DTLLS), degree in a science-related subject.
* Desirable: MSc, Assessor Award, IV Award, ECDL/ITQ Level 1.
Experience:
* Essential: Significant vocational experience, successful teaching across levels, course management.
* Excellent outcomes on exam-based courses.
* Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Awarding Body procedures, functional skills integration.
* Knowledge of FE Sector.
* Manage workload, meet deadlines, analyse data, write reports, proficiency in Microsoft Office, time management, excellent communication.
