We are seeking an experienced commercial Management Accountant with a strong focus on costings and cost analysis to join an established, global finance team. The organisation is based in Fife and operates as a highly commercial business. This role requires a candidate with a combination of skills and experience in cost accounting and commercial finance. The Role
The role of Management Accountant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
*Examine and oversee cost structures, including both direct and indirect expenses, to ensure precision and deliver actionable insights via cost reporting
*Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts, with a focus on costing
*Create routine management reports, incorporating variance analysis, to monitor budget performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction
*Collaborate closely with department leaders to design and implement cost control strategies and ensure budget compliance
*Develop and sustain product costing frameworks, ensuring the accurate allocation of costs and the alignment with pricing strategies
*Supervise inventory costing and valuation processes to guarantee accuracy and uniformity in financial reporting
*Identify and suggest improvements to streamline costing procedures
*Work closely with commercial teams to provide financial insights and assist in decision-making processes
*Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and accounting standards, particularly concerning cost reporting
*Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as directed by the Finance Director and senior management
You
As a Management Accountant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
*Professional accountancy qualification highly preferred
*Strong experience within management accounts and costing, this experience within an FMCG company will be beneficial
*Familiarity with financial modelling, costing methodology and accounting software
*Extensive commercial finance experience and an ability to be a bridge between finance and commercial teams
*Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insight
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
