Network Engineer
Hybrid working 3 days onsite per week in Exeter
Our client based is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month basis to help support the clients communication networks, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, wireless, and telephony networks.
Key Skills:
* Good understanding of LAN/WIFI technologies
* Good knowledge on Network basics OSI Layers/TCP and UDP protocols/VLAN/Routing/IP subnetting/spanning tree, Etc.
* DNS/ DHCP/ IPAM (Infoblox)
* Experience in firewall administration, configuration, and troubleshooting (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo alto etc.).
* Good knowledge and hands on experience of VPN’s (Remote access and Site-to-Site)
* Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP
* Traffic shaping, QoS, CoS
* Application content delivery systems and Load balancing experience
* Cloud networking including Azure, AWS, etc
* Understanding and experience of network automation technologies.
* Ideally experience working on Juniper and Aruba technologies.
* Understanding of VXLAN, EVPN
* Advantageous to have an understanding of VOIP/ telephony technologies.
* Experience with monitoring and management solutions (SolarWinds, Airwave, Mist/Space, SIEM Solutions, etc
