The Role
As a Client Accounts Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in preparing business accounts, ensuring statutory requirements are met, and providing proactive advice to help clients succeed. You’ll manage client portfolios, handle tax computations, and lead client audits, all while mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities: *Prepare and review financial statements for clients across various industries
*Conduct audits and manage site visits to clients
*Handle tax returns and computations for businesses and individuals
*Be the main point of contact for your clients, managing communications with HMRC and other agencies
*Train and guide junior staff, while managing workflow to ensure efficiency
*Collaborate with departments like tax, payroll, and bookkeeping to deliver comprehensive services
*Participate in management meetings and client consultations, offering innovative ideas for tax savings and business improvements

Your Expertise: *Proven experience in auditing and practice management
*Qualifications via exams or solid experience in the field
*Strong interpersonal skills—whether writing, speaking, or face-to-face with clients
*Tech-savvy with a solid grasp of Xero, Word, Excel, and Outlook
*Passion for training and developing junior team members
*Excellent organizational and client management skills
Bonus Skills (but not required): *Expertise in VAT, PAYE, CIS, and handling HMRC investigations
*Experience advising clients on business structures, payroll, and tax-saving strategies
