Job Description:
The Business:
Market leading retailer with an award winning Procurement function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support on the growth of a Procurement Centre of Excellence: Lead in the fostering of a procurement engine room, moving forward the agenda around procurement process & technology, as well as future themes around resilience and sustainability
* Develop and Implement Procurement Systems: Design, implement, and manage advanced procurement systems to streamline procurement operations.
* Enhance Procurement Performance: Monitor and analyse procurement performance metrics, providing actionable insights from internal data systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure efficiency.
* Support Procurement Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business goals.
* Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with contractual terms.
* Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within procurement operations, driving continuous improvement and implementing best practices to enhance overall efficiency.
Key Skills Required:
* Expertise in Procurement Systems: In-depth knowledge of procurement systems and software, such as SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, or similar platforms.
* Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyse procurement data and performance metrics, demonstrating technical competence in data analysis tools like Excel and MicroStrategy.
* Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in developing and executing procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Excellent skills in managing supplier relationships, including negotiation, performance evaluation, and compliance monitoring.
* Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements within procurement operations.
