Tradewind is a leading recruitment agency in education, and we are thrilled to be partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Sheffield to recruit a dynamic PE Teacher to join their team in September 2024.
About the Role: As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the physical education curriculum and inspiring students to lead active, healthy lifestyles. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, engaging students in a variety of sports and physical activities, and promoting the importance of physical fitness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the PE curriculum, excellent classroom management skills, and a passion for motivating students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and effective PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported.
* Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that inspire students to participate in physical education.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
* Contribute to the wider school community by leading extracurricular sports activities and events.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE lessons and activities.
Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
* Experience teaching PE at the secondary level, ideally within the UK education system.
* Strong knowledge of the national PE curriculum and assessment standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
