Job Description:
Our client, a leading care service company based in Berkhamsted, Herts has a new position for a Financial Controller to join their team. Managing the Finance Department and reporting to the Executive Chairman, duties will include: -
* Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
* Supervising 3 direct reports
* Preparing statutory accounts
* Produce monthly management accounts and reports
* Improve processes and reporting
* Maintain and improve cash flow forecasting processes
* Ensure compliance with relevant tax, accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements
* Leading and coordinating the annual external audit
* Prepare and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets
* Provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management on a proactive basis
* Seek to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls
* Deliver all company secretarial responsibilities
* Experience in using Xero and Sage will be advantageous although not essential
* Ad hoc duties
To be considered for this role candidates must have experience managing a small accounts department.
